Toshiba SD-2200 DVD Player Review

The SD-2200 is a great DVD player in many ways. It excels in sound, video, and features.

First of all, you have sound options. If you have a Dolby Digital/DTS receiver, you can use the optical output OR coax digital output to connect to your receiver. If you don’t have such a receiver, the SD-2200 has a built-in decoder so you can connect 6-channel analog outputs to your receiver.

The SD-2200 also has all of the popular video options. You can choose from composite video, s-video, or component video. I use the component video with my Toshiba 27V51 TV and the picture quality is great! I have also seen the SD-2200 hooked up with s-video for great quality as well.

In terms of features, the SD-2200 is loaded. First of all, it has 2 disc trays, so you can swap one disk out while playing the other one. I find this feature especially helpful so I can keep one audio CD in one drive and a DVD in the other. The SD-2200 also has 3 levels of zoom, great pause and frame advance controls, and a great, easy to use “joystick-style” remote.

The SD-2200 has worked very well for me for 9 months now. I’m confident it will keep me satisfied for years to come!

i had bought this for my parents when the dvd in the living room broke it was a few years ago and it has been working fine ever since just lately it has been acting up but nothing major. If this dvd ever brakes im re buying this. since i bought this for the living room I have been through 4 dvd players in my room. Samsung DVD-C350 DVD Player (Black) Review

I bought this cheap DVD player for the bed-room.

In the living room we have a big HDTV, with an HDMI DVD player…. and lots of fancy shmancy stuff.

But in the bed room for my old standard def TV, I just wanted a cheap DVD player, and didnt care about HD or Blue-Ray.

I looked at a bunch on Amazon for under , and decided on this one.

So far so good!

I didnt care about Component Cables, or HDMI. I just wanted an old fashioned AV-out or Coaxial-out DVD player.

This unit is sleek looking, simple, light, and came with a small simple remote control. I set it up in literally 2 minutes, and was watching DVD’s in bed!

I give it 5 stars.(So long as it doesnt break!)…(if it does I’ll be sure to come change this review.)

So if your looking for a cheap, Non-HD, non-fancy DVD player, this is it.
